Unwinding

I sure did take my time unwinding, laying my paint tubes and brushes for weeks all over the place, "distracted" by work or should I say, it's the second half of the semester and work reaches its peak. This is exactly when I need to paint and it becomes forcefully sporadic.

Then comes uncertainty: is it done? I don't think so. Something is missing. I add a brush stroke here and there and leave the canvas in an annoying place, it has to be visible to me so I can decide when it's done. Weeks passed by and the canvas is still in the house's traffic area. As a matter of fact, I could not decide on this one. I just left it there too long and I know that it has to come to an end. Just last night, the black lining finally brought closure to my unnecessary drama.

Enfin!!!!

Just having fun with my new paint.

Balcony

Who says that every long weekend has to be spent somewhere away from home? I enjoyed every bit of multitasking on this Memorial weekend. In fact, I painted and spring cleaned and painted and cooked and painted and had time to run errands with my family and painted and biked and painted again and drove through the storm (that was scary!). I had my paint brushes handy and used them sporadically throughout the three days, in between little trivial jobs that didn't seem boring or annoying afterall.

Imperfection

It has been too long since my previous art work. Imperfection is a good way to come back.
